Key Points You Need to Know

No Storage | No Recovery: Syfra does NOT store your seed phrases, encryption keys, or passwords

Everything is encrypted and stored locally on your NFC card and device. We cannot recover, restore, or access your data if lost.

No Liability for Funds Loss: Syfra is not responsible for any loss of cryptocurrency

You are solely responsible for safeguarding your NFC card, seed phrases, and passwords. Loss, theft, or damage may result in permanent loss of access to your funds.

Your Responsibility: Backup your seed phrases and protect your passwords

You must create secure backups of your seed phrase separate from your Syfra Card. Never share your passwords or seed phrases with anyone. Remember, there's never too much backups!

30-Day Returns: Only for damaged cards

Physical NFC cards may be returned within 30 days if damaged during shipping. Cards that have been used (written with data) cannot be returned for refund.

How Syfra Works

Understanding how Syfra functions is essential to using the product safely and effectively.

Local Encryption

Your seed phrase is encrypted using AES-256 encryption on your device. Syfra never sees or stores your data.

Write to NFC Card

The encrypted data is written to your physical Syfra NFC card using our mobile app. The card stores data offline.

Offline Storage

Your data remains on the NFC card only. Tap to read and decrypt on your device whenever needed—no internet required.

What Syfra Does NOT Do

  • • Does NOT store your seed phrases on servers or in the cloud
  • • Does NOT have access to your encryption passwords or keys
  • • CANNOT recover or restore your data if your card is lost or passwords forgotten
  • • Does NOT backup your data—you must create your own backups
  • • Does NOT provide investment, tax, or financial advice

1. Definitions

"Products & Services"

Collectively refers to the Syfra Website (www.syfra.io), Syfra mobile applications (Android and iOS), and Syfra NFC Cards.

"NFC Card" / "Card"

The physical near-field communication (NFC) card sold by Syfra, capable of storing encrypted data offline.

"User" / "You"

Any individual or entity that accesses, purchases, or uses any of the Syfra Products & Services.

"Syfra" / "We" / "Us"

Collectively refers to the Syfra Website (www.syfra.io), Syfra mobile applications (Android and iOS), and Syfra NFC Cards.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing the Syfra Website, downloading and using the Syfra mobile applications, purchasing Syfra NFC Cards, or otherwise using any of the Products, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not access or use the Products.

Important Notice

Use of the Products implies your acceptance of these Terms. You are responsible for reviewing these Terms periodically for updates.

3. User Obligations

You are Responsible For:

Security

  • • Safeguarding your NFC card from loss, theft, or damage
  • • Creating and securing backup copies of your seed phrases
  • • Protecting all passwords and encryption keys
  • • Never sharing seed phrases or passwords with anyone

Compliance

  • • Complying with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction
  • • Ensuring you meet the legal age requirements (18+)
  • • Not using Products for illegal activities
  • • Reporting any security vulnerabilities to Syfra

Critical Responsibility

YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND ACCEPT THAT:

  • • Syfra does NOT store copies of your seed phrases or encryption keys
  • • If you lose your NFC card or forget your passwords, Syfra CANNOT help you recover your data
  • • You are solely responsible for maintaining backups and securing your authentication credentials
  • • Loss of access to your seed phrase may result in permanent, irreversible loss of access to your cryptocurrency

4. License and Permitted Use

License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Syfra grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:

  • • Access and use the Syfra Website and mobile applications
  • • Use the Syfra NFC Cards for personal, non-commercial purposes
  • • Encrypt and store your own seed phrases using the Products

Restrictions

You may NOT:

  • • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software
  • • Modify, adapt, or create derivative works
  • • Remove any proprietary notices or labels
  • • Use the Products for commercial resale without authorization
  • • Attempt to bypass security features or encryption
  • • Use automated systems to access the Products (bots, scrapers)

5. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Products for any unlawful purpose or in any way that violates these Terms. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:

Illegal Activities

  • • Money laundering
  • • Terrorist financing
  • • Fraud or theft
  • • Purchasing or selling illegal goods/services

Harmful Actions

  • • Hacking or unauthorized access attempts
  • • Distributing malware or viruses
  • • Interfering with other users
  • • Overloading or disrupting our systems

Consequences of Prohibited Use

Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate legal action, and cooperation with law enforcement authorities.

6. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in and to the Products, including but not limited to software, website content, trademarks, logos, and designs, are owned by or licensed to Syfra.

Protected Materials

  • • The Syfra name, logo, and all related marks are trademarks of Syfra
  • • Software code, algorithms, and encryption methods
  • • Website design, layout, graphics, and text
  • • Documentation, user guides, and instructional materials

Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use Syfra trademarks, logos, or other proprietary information without express written permission from Syfra.

Open Source Components

Certain components of the Products may be subject to open source licenses. These licenses are listed in our documentation and govern your use of those specific components.

7. Shipping, Returns, and Refunds

Shipping

Syfra ships physical NFC Cards to customers worldwide. Shipping times and costs vary by location and are displayed at checkout.

30-Day Return Policy for Damaged Cards

Syfra NFC Cards may be returned within 30 days of delivery ONLY if the product is damaged.

What qualifies as "damaged"?

  • • Physical cracks, breaks, or defects in the NFC card
  • • NFC chip malfunction or failure (card cannot be read/written)
  • • Manufacturing defects affecting functionality
  • • Damage that occurred during shipping

NOT eligible for return/refund:

  • • Cards that have been used (written with seed phrase data)
  • • Change of mind or buyer's remorse
  • • User-caused damage or misuse
  • • Loss of the card after delivery
  • • Incompatibility with user's device (check compatibility before purchase)

Return Procedure

Step-by-Step Process for Damaged Card Returns

  1. 1. Contact Support: Email legal@syfra.io within 30 days of delivery with:
    • • Order number
    • • Photos clearly showing the damage
    • • Description of the issue
  2. 2. Review & Approval: Syfra will review your claim within 5-7 business days and provide a return authorization if approved.
  3. 3. Ship the Card Back: Return the damaged card in its original packaging (if possible) to the address provided by Syfra. You are responsible for return shipping costs unless damage occurred during delivery.
  4. 4. Inspection: Upon receipt, Syfra will inspect the card to verify the damage claim.
  5. 5. Refund or Replacement: If the damage is confirmed:
    • • You will receive a full refund to your original payment method, OR
    • • A replacement card will be shipped at no charge (your choice)
  6. 6. Processing Time: Refunds are processed within 10 business days after inspection. Replacement cards ship within 3-5 business days.

Warranty

Syfra NFC Cards come with a 1-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. This warranty does not cover user damage, loss, or normal wear and tear. See Section 8 for full warranty terms.

8. Warranties and Disclaimers

Disclaimer of Warranties

THE PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SYFRA DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • • Implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
  • • Warranties of non-infringement
  • • Warranties that the Products will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
  • • Warranties regarding the accuracy or reliability of any information obtained through the Products

Limited Hardware Warranty

Syfra warrants that NFC Cards will be free from material defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase.

This warranty covers only the physical card hardware and does NOT cover:

  • • Loss or corruption of data stored on the card
  • • Loss of cryptocurrency or funds
  • • Damage from misuse, accidents, or unauthorized modifications
  • • Normal wear and tear

No Guarantee of Recovery

SYFRA DOES NOT GUARANTEE that you will be able to recover your seed phrases if you lose your NFC card, forget your passwords, or experience any technical issues. It is YOUR responsibility to maintain secure backups.

9. Limitation of Liability

Critical Liability Disclaimer

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SYFRA, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY:

  • LOSS OF CRYPTOCURRENCY, TOKENS, OR DIGITAL ASSETS of any kind
  • LOSS OF DATA, including seed phrases, encryption keys, or passwords
  • INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES
  • • Loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunities
  • • Loss of use or data corruption
  • • Service interruptions or unavailability
  • • Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
  • • Statements or conduct of third parties

Maximum Liability Cap

SYFRA'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY AND ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE PRODUCTS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO SYFRA IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

Loss or Theft

Loss, theft, or damage to your NFC card resulting in loss of access to cryptocurrency

Technical Failures

Software bugs, encryption failures, or NFC card malfunctions

User Error

Forgotten passwords, lost seed phrase backups, or incorrect usage

Third-Party Actions

Hacking, unauthorized access, or fraud by third parties

Jurisdictional Variations

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain warranties or liabilities. In such cases, the limitations above may not apply to you, and Syfra's liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Syfra, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, and licensors from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or relating to:

  • • Your use or misuse of the Products
  • • Your violation of these Terms of Use
  • • Your violation of any rights of another party
  • • Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations
  • • Loss of your seed phrases, passwords, or NFC card
  • • Any cryptocurrency transactions you conduct
  • • Any claims that your use of the Products caused damage to a third party

Defense and Settlement

Syfra reserves the right to assume the exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, and you agree to cooperate with Syfra's defense of such claims.

11. Changes to Terms

Syfra reserves the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. When we make changes, we will:

  • • Update the "Effective Date" at the top of these Terms
  • • Post the revised Terms on the Syfra Website
  • • For material changes, provide notice via email or in-app notification (if you have an account)

Your continued use of the Products after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the new Terms, you must stop using the Products.

It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically. We recommend checking for updates each time you use the Products.

13. Miscellaneous

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Syfra regarding the Products.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Waiver

No waiver of any term of these Terms shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or any other term.

Assignment

You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights hereunder without Syfra's prior written consent. Syfra may assign these Terms without restriction.

Force Majeure

Syfra shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including acts of God, war, terrorism, pandemics, or internet outages.

No Investment or Tax Advice

Syfra does not provide investment, tax, or legal advice. Consult with qualified professionals regarding your specific circumstances.
